The SMT Virtual School, The SmartTeacher Programme, and the Klasiber Education System have been colaboratively developed by educationalists and development officials in New Zealand and Malaysia. This entrepreneurial project will establish an international online system of education which will replace traditional curricula and the books and blackboards of the 20th Century with interactive online resources, student learning management systems, on line assessment structures and individual records for learners and educators. THE 21st CENTURY WAY LED FROM MALAYSIA All resources will be updateable and flexible and will be available to public and private institutions and to adults and children seeking education to university entrance level. Initially the project aims to be distributed in Malaysia and New Zealand but the Malaysaian Development Corporation hopes to see the system become an export for Malaysia. The system has been embraced by the Malaysian Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) and is being developed with the assistance of the Malaysian Development Corporation (MDC). A pilot "virtual school" has been operating in Kuala Lumpur for over a year and on-line curriculum resources are being developed by Klasiber MSC Sdn Bhd under the auspices of the MDC. NEW ZEALAND In New Zealand Klasiber Sdn Bhd is represented by its sister compoany SmartMedia Technologies Limited. The companies are content producers and distributors for education and developers of multi media education resources and systems.
